Notifications
Overview
Zaapi's notification system sends you real-time alerts directly to your desktop, ensuring you never miss a customer message or an important update. These notifications are essential for providing timely support and staying on top of all conversations, especially when you are not actively looking at the Zaapi window.
To receive alerts, you need to configure two things:
Your in-app preferences: Choose which types of chats you want to be notified about.
Your browser settings: Grant Zaapi permission to send notifications through your web browser.
This guide will walk you through both.
How to set your Notification Preferences
This setting lets you control which conversations will trigger a notification.
Navigate to your Account Settings and find the Notification Preference section.
You will see the following options:
Send notifications for all chats: Receive an alert for every single new message from any customer conversation.
Only send notifications for chats assigned to me: Ideal for agents who only want to focus on their own assigned conversations.
Send notifications for unassigned chats and chats assigned to me: A popular choice for teams, this alerts you to your own conversations plus any new chats waiting in the queue to be claimed.
Turn off notifications: This will disable all in-app push notifications.
Select the option that best fits your workflow. Note that this will apply for your individual account only, not all users in the account.
Click the Save button to apply your changes.
How to enable browser notifications
